Who am I?
I'm Michael Nedwick. I am a certified personal trainer and I have been one since 2005. I have certified NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and previously worked with Gold's Gym. Also, I am a professional massage therapist who trained in San Diego, California (The School of Healing Arts). I have 400 hours of formal training and am skilled in the following types of massage: relaxation, circulatory (commonly known as Swedish), deep tissue massage, and Zen Touch (which is similar to Shiatsu, but smooth and painless).
Holistic health is my passion. Holistic health is to look at all the various factors affecting health, and to address all of them, in order to have great health. I've been involved in health and fitness for my whole life.
Mission
What does Cuerpo Feliz mean?? It means, "happy body". Why did I pick that name? If you are happy, you feel good and relaxed. If your body is relaxed and feels good, that means it is therefore happy.
My mission is to educate people how to train, exercise, get the best possible results, in the safest way possible. I say "educate" because my objective is that my clients understand well what we're doing and why we're doing that. Finally, I want them to be able to train without my help and guidance, and continue to get great results.
I do not only physical training. I explain how to have a good diet, and how to change that to have better health, get results from exercise more quickly and effectively. If you are exercising all the time, but eating junk, you will not get good results. Diet is also very integral to health, perhaps the most important factor there is. I will review the diet that you have to give my advice on how you can feed yourself better, and feel better because of making those changes.
I include massages in the training program. Why? It may be that you are exercising regularly and have a good diet. But you can still have a lot of stress. You might have a lot of muscle adhesions or muscle pain because of the training. You could even be emotionally exhausted. Massages help fix all of these problems. Massages combat and reduce stress, eliminate muscle adhesions , improve circulation in the body, and even balance your vital energy . When you receive massage frequently, you will improve all your body functions, you'll feel much better for it, and you will get better results from your training!
Exercise is a component of good health, another component is diet, and stress management is another. The idea is to combine all the components come to have very good health, and a more satisfying life .
Vision
That people have a fuller understanding of how to live in a healthy manner, and be physically able to do everything they want to and enjoy.
